The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority thwarted an attempt to smuggle 4.1 million Captagon pills, which were found hidden in a consignment coming to the Kingdom through the Batha port.

The authority stated that the grains were hidden in the cavity of ovens used for roasting, and were received as part of a consignment that was carried on one of the coming trucks.

It indicated that the 3 recipients of these seizures inside the Kingdom were arrested, following coordination with the General Directorate for Narcotics Control.

The authority affirmed that it is continuing to tighten customs control over the Kingdom’s imports and exports, calling on everyone to contribute to combating smuggling to protect society and the national economy.
