“The organization of this continental conclave constitutes an opportunity for Zambia to position itself as a leading country in the promotion of public health,” declared Ms. Masebo during a meeting in Lusaka with the director general of the African Centers for disease surveillance and prevention (CDC Africa), Jean Kaseya.

She added that the conference, which is expected to welcome heads of state, senior officials and nearly 5,000 national and international delegates, is part of Zambia’s strategy of opening up to the organization of major events. which contribute to the country’s influence at the international level.

Ms. Masebo also stressed that in addition to promoting the exchange of experiences and the deepening of knowledge of health professionals, this conclave will have the effect of promoting the country’s tourism sector and boosting its economy.
