Zaporizhia nuclear power plant: Russia and Ukraine blame each other – Ukraine

Kyiv — Moscow and Kyiv on Saturday accused each other of shelling Ukraine’s Russian-held Zaporizhia nuclear power plant, which has been at the center of international concerns that fighting in the area might trigger a disaster. Zaporizhia, Europe’s largest nuclear power plant, has been controlled by Russian troops since early March, shortly following Russia invaded Ukraine, and continues to be operated by Ukrainian personnel. In recent weeks, both sides have blamed each other for the shelling near the facility.
