Children’s hospices relieve the burden on caring parents
There are 34 facilities across Austria in which doctors, therapists and palliative care staff support seriously ill children and their parents. Around 5,000 children and young people in Austria live with an incurable, life-shortening illness. In children’s hospices, these children and their parents find care and thus relief from everyday care.
