[단독] 1 injured marine corps officer participating in Cobra Gold…KC-330 dispatched and evacuated to Korea

It has been confirmed that one of our Marines participating in the multinational joint exercise ‘Cobra Gold’ held in Thailand was seriously injured during training, and the military dispatched a transport plane to evacuate it to Korea this morning.

According to military and local reports, during the rehearsal for Cobra Gold landing training held in Hat Yao, Thailand on the 2nd, one of our Marines fell into a pit while moving from an armored personnel carrier and suffered fractures to his legs and arms.

The noncommissioned officer was transported by helicopter to a local hospital and received first aid.

In response, the military dispatched a KC-330 multipurpose tanker to the area yesterday followingnoon, and it is known that it was evacuated to Korea this morning.

The noncommissioned officer underwent surgery at a military hospital and is said to be in a stable condition.

The Cobra Gold training has been conducted since 1982 with a focus on coastal landings led by the US and Thai forces.
