Hyunjin Ryu, who completed Tommy John surgery on his left elbow, met with reporters ahead of the home game once morest Boston to announce the start of full-scale rehabilitation.
Ryu Hyun-jin said, “During the operation, I tried to treat only if the ligament was in good condition, but the ligament was in a state where I mightn’t use it, so I chose the Tommy John surgery.
Ryu Hyun-jin added that the rehabilitation period is considered to be one year, and he is aiming to return around June or July next year.
Hyunjin Ryu signed a four-year, $80 million contract with Toronto until 2023 next year.
