Barcelona beat Napoli 3-1 at the Montjuic Olympic Stadium, in the second leg of the Champions League round of 16. Culé’s goals were scored by Fermín López, João Cancelo and Robert Lewandowski, while Amir Rrahmani had scored for the visit. With a 4-2 aggregate, the Spanish team will play in the quarterfinals for the first time since the departure of Lionel Messi.
In a very even first half, those led by Xavi Hernández made a significant difference in a burst of two minutes. With seven minutes left, Sergi Roberto made a great individual play and assisted Lewandoski, who only had to push the ball to seal the series.
With the 4-2 series victory, Barcelona managed to qualify for the quarterfinals of the Champions League for the first time in four years. Next Friday, starting at 8 in the morning in Argentina, the draw will be held at the UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.
