The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport is creating ‘hydrogen cities’ in six regions across the country.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced that it would promote related projects starting this year in Pyeongtaek and Namyangju in Gyeonggi Province, Dangjin and Boryeong in South Chungcheong Province, Gwangyang in South Jeolla Province, and Pohang in North Gyeongsang Province.
This is a project to build urban infrastructure such as hydrogen production facilities and transport facilities so that hydrogen energy sources can be used in apartment houses or buildings.
This year’s budget is 5.25 billion won.
After the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport first announced the plan to create a hydrogen city in 2019, it started projects in three regions, including Ansan, Gyeonggi Province, and this time additional pilot cities were selected.
