It is noteworthy whether the sea exports of Ukrainian grains will resume and the world’s grain supply and demand will breathe.
There are many variables, but the heat wave that hit the global village is also a big obstacle.

The grain exporter Lazoni departed from Odessa, Ukraine, carrying 26,000 tons of corn.
It had been five months since the invasion of Russia, so the expectations were very different.

Up to 25 million tonnes of grain tied up in Ukrainian ports.
After the Lazoni, grain exporters are departing from three ports, including Odessa and Yuzuni, one after another.

As the export route to Ukraine opened, there was also a forecast that grain prices would be relatively stable in the third quarter.
But the international food crisis remains.
Ukraine, one of the world’s largest food exporters, has halved its crop this year.
This is because Russian attacks on export ports and the safety of transport vessels remain.
Although the route was decided to avoid the mines installed in the Black Sea, it cannot be considered 100% safe.

Heatwaves and droughts that hit the global village are also variables.
Many countries are plagued by heatwaves and yields of key crops are severely reduced.
In particular, corn, soybeans and wheat are already under pressure from the Ukraine war, making the situation even more difficult.

The resumption of grain exports tied to Ukraine is positive, but the uncertainties and variables fueling the global food crisis remain.
