Hurricane Ian, which swept the southeastern United States, starting with Florida last week, is now extinct, but has done a lot of damage.
With more than 100 deaths in Florida alone and more than 600,000 homes still experiencing power outages, recovery is expected to take at least several months.

Homes and shops on the beach are in particularly bad condition.
There is no water or electricity, so restoration is impossible right now.

That’s because flooded areas, such as central Florida, still remain.
However, CNN reported that the death toll exceeded 100 in Florida alone.
He added that at one time 2.6 million households had electricity cut off, but restoration work is underway and it is now down to less than 1 million households, he added.
