US President Joe Biden made a separate statement and welcomed Hanwha Group’s plan to invest in solar power in the United States.
President Biden said in a White House statement on the 11th, “Today’s announcement by Hanwha Q Cells that it will make the largest solar investment in American history is a great boon to Georgia’s workers’ families and the American economy.”
He emphasized that the Hanwha Group’s investment is a direct result of his economic plan and the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA).
President Biden said, “Hanwha Q Cells’ investment will create thousands of high-paying jobs in Georgia, many of which do not require a four-year college degree.”
President Biden said that thanks to Hanwha’s investment, the United States will definitely be able to develop advanced solar technology within the country, and this is a victory for workers and consumers.
Previously, Hanwha Solutions held a Media Day event on the same day and announced that it would spend 3.2 trillion won to build a ‘Solar Hub’, a solar integrated production complex in Georgia, USA.
