China’s armed protests against Taiwan, sparked by US House Speaker Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan, have continued for the third day.

US Secretary of State Blincoln, who is visiting the Philippines, accuses China of reliance on force rather than a peaceful solution, but says he will remain open to dialogue with China.

Taiwan’s Defense Ministry said on the 6th local time that Chinese fighters and battleships had crossed the midline of the Taiwan Strait.

China, which has not crossed the midline since the unofficial declaration of the middle line in the middle of the strait in 1955 to avoid conflict between the two sides, has been conducting military operations across the midline every day since Pelosi’s visit.

For this reason, there are concerns that China may routinely conduct large-scale military exercises targeting Taiwan by invading the middle line.

In response, China’s position is that it is a legitimate military exercise in accordance with international law.

Foreign Minister Wang Yi dismissed Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan as nothing more than a commotion, arguing instead that it strengthened the Chinese people’s will for unity and reunification.

During a visit to the Philippines, US Secretary of State Blincoln showed off the alliance between the two countries and kept China in check.

[토니 블링컨 / 미 국무장관 : 강한 동맹이 더욱 강해질 것입니다. 상호방위조약을 준수하며 공동의 도전에 함께 대처할 것입니다.]

Secretary Blincoln accused China of cutting off military dialogue channels and suspending cooperation on climate change, etc.

Military drills in the Taiwan Strait, as predicted by China, will end at 12:00 noon on Sunday.
