hello. Lee Jong-cheol’s tricky review, today I brought the Acer Predator Triton 500 SE, a gaming laptop that was released in a limited edition of 500 worldwide.
Now, this product is almost the best I can think of right now. i7-12700H, 12th gen. The RTX 3080 Ti has 16GB of graphics. It’s higher than my laptop’s regular RAM. The ram is 32 GB. First off, the specs are great. However, for this product a gaming laptop, other specifications are unique.
First, let’s look at the appearance. Most gaming laptops have logos on them! It’s so sweet. This product is not like that. If you look here, there is a small Predator logo engraved on it. A bit like Decepticons.
Inside, the speakers are Acer-style. The touchpad is unusual, but if you look here, it has a diamond cut, which makes it a bit luxurious. Normally when you touch it, it should feel like iron, but it is soft. It is said to have been attached with Gorilla Glass.
The strange thing is, they say this is a slim laptop. Why? Isn’t it like Chamisul Fresh, Mild Seven? It’s thick, but a little better, I guess. I also say that I am a pig in my house, but when I come to work, I am slim. Could it be that?
Let’s take a look at performance. I played the game of hell Cyberpunk 2077, and it was the first gaming laptop to run. As you can see, the frame rate is not high. It was around 40, but so far, one of the laptops did not come out 10, and all of them failed. But it works even when I run ray tracing ultra at 1440p full resolution. You can finally cyberpunk on your laptop. The problem is that it’s already broken.
Other games are fine too. The Elden Ring, which only supports 60 frames in the first place, is not unreasonable. Death Stranding is around 120. Online games are funny. Damn it, it’s almost 180 shots. The problem is that I’m old and I can’t keep up with this resolution. It’s a sad game. I’m tired.
It’s better drawn than Battlegrounds and Overwatch. The lowest was 160 and the highest was over 200. Overwatch is such a crazy game, but Bagg is quiet and suddenly they fight. So high frame is better. Of course I’m not good at it.
Performance was run with the fan at its maximum. Pressing this predator button opens the software. You can change to turbo here or press the separate turbo button. You lose your hearing and you win the game. The product is quite hot even when it is idle, but the body is cold when you press the turbo button. Instead, give up hearing.
In fact, since I’ve been using this product quietly, I doubt if it’s a gaming laptop. The multimedia specs are very good.
Let’s look at the display first. DCI-P3 100%, which I wondered why I had to put it all in, was included. The color gamut is what we call a color gamut, which means that we get the correct color in a specific situation. DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB are good, but most phones use P3. Apple also uses this P3, and most of the creators’ products such as Dell, Azo, and Samsung support P3. This is a color gamut specialized for video.
There is a video I worked on with the P3. This video was made on P3 98%. Originally, it should come out like the Triton 500 SE. But the stomach is a little bright and squishy. The original exact color is close to the one below. The unfortunate thing is that the color is set to 8bit, but you can change it to 10bit in the Nvidia control panel. The higher the number of bits, the more colors are written.
The 3D rendering performance is decent because the GPU is so awesome. Now, in this case, on my GTX 1080 desktop, full-size rendering takes about 30 minutes. This product takes about 10 minutes.
In the case of Premiere Pro, I ran the Puget Bench and it came out around 960. When I played it on 11th generation gaming laptops, it was mainly in the late 800s to early 900s. It’s pretty decent.
Judging by the ports, this product is definitely for multimedia. First of all, I have both USB 3.2 Gen 1 and 2. Thunderbolt 4 is in. There is no problem in playing the game without it. You don’t even need to use an external GPU. But taking pictures is a different story.
SD slots aren’t that common either. It supports SD 7.0, and it is a product that can move almost 1 gigabyte per second. If you have an SD 7.0 card, you can move files that quickly.
HDMI is also 2.1. It can connect up to 10K. Even in 4K, it’s 120Hz.
Basically, it supports DCI-P3, DTS-X, and 360-degree sound. Then it’s good for gaming as well as watching videos.
Now, the battery is 99Whr, so that’s great. Other products are usually 60-80. But anyway, when playing games, it’s 99 and you have to plug in an adapter. By the way, how about a brief premiere at a cafe? Much better than other products.
The price is very high. 3070 Ti product is 3.29 million won, 3080 Ti product is 4.39 million won. But this is cheap. If you search for similar specifications, most of them are around 500,000 won. Most of them are heavier than this product. So, this is great news for those who want this spec.
Now, overall, it is a high-end gaming laptop and almost top-notch specs for creators. I recommend it to people like me who make videos during the day and play games at night.

Anyone who wants to play games anywhere. Don’t buy it. Gaming performance is good, but I can’t say that the heat treatment is superior to other products. It is better to think about the price or heat treatment.
