[OSEN=지민경 기자] Actress Lee Young-ae donated 100 million won to the Army NCO Development Fund Foundation and once again spread good influence.
As a result of OSEN coverage on the 23rd, Lee Young-ae recently donated 100 million won and a gift to the Army NCO Development Fund Foundation to support the school expenses of Lee Yong-jae, the son of the late Sergeant Lee Tae-gyun, who died in a K9 self-propelled gun accident and a family with multiple children of an army sergeant.
Sergeant Lee Tae-gyun was killed in an accident in August 2017 when a K9 self-propelled howitzer exploded during artillery training in Cheorwon, Gangwon-do.
Lee Young-ae encouraged Lee Yong-jae, the son of boss Lee, by giving him a certificate of scholarship along with school fees.
The family of the late boss Lee Tae-gyun expressed their gratitude, saying, “I am deeply grateful to Mr. Lee Young-ae for not forgetting what happened six years ago and supporting all of my school expenses until I graduated from college.”
Also, on the 14th, the army and the foundation invited NCO Dawoong’s family and delivered encouragement money and gifts.

Influenced by her father, a veteran of the Korean War, Lee Young-ae has been steadily sponsoring and donating to ROK NCOs and enlisted men injured in the army with the heart of a military family.
In 2015, it sponsored the entire cost of 400 million won for the ‘Korean NCO Love Concert – The Heroes’ for the warriors who sacrificed for the country, which was held at the Jangchung Gymnasium in Seoul.
In August of the same year, he also donated 50 million won to Sergeants Kim Jeong-won and Ha Jae-heon, who were seriously injured in North Korea’s DMZ landmine provocation, and to spend money on performances for NCOs struggling on the frontlines.
In 2021, it was known that a large donation was made to a memorial event held ahead of the 1st anniversary of the late General Baek Seon-yeop, and after the Russian-Ukrainian war broke out, in March of last year, the first Korean celebrity to donate relief money for war-affected children and peace through the Ukrainian embassy.
