BLACKPINK, the representative of K-pop girl groups, has made a comeback after 1 year and 10 months.
Blackpink pre-released the song ‘Pink Venom’ and the music video from their 2nd full-length album today.
‘Pink Venom’ puts the sound of traditional Korean instruments between the strong beats, and in the music video, items containing Korean identity such as a geomungo were placed.
YG Entertainment explained that this music video, which had the highest production cost since its inception, unraveled the contrasting image of ‘Pink Venom’ of pink and poison with an overwhelming set and spectacular performances.
At an online press conference to commemorate the comeback, Blackpink said, “I was very worried because it was a comeback after a long time.”
They continued, “It’s difficult to express in one word about their identity,” he said, “but the closest thing to them is being confident and full of confidence.”
BLACKPINK, which has released a new song in a year and 10 months since the release of the first full-length album ‘D Album’ in October 2020, is scheduled to go on a world tour after releasing the second full-length album ‘Bone Pink’ next month.
Blackpink, celebrating its 6th anniversary of debut, has over 77 million YouTube subscribers, ranking first among artists around the world.
