Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the Jamsil Sports Complex concert hall is limited to 15,000 people per session, and to compensate for this, live theater viewing was also planned.
In order to increase immersion not only in the field but also in the cinema, not only large LED screens but also advanced IT technologies such as augmented reality and extended reality were all mobilized.
The so-called ‘hybrid’ performance has been completed, both online and offline, with cutting-edge technology to maximize immersion and realism.
The result is a huge success!
The three-day BTS performance was watched by around 2.46 million people from all over the world, including both on-site and online broadcasts.
Of these, the one-day theater performance was watched by 1.4 million people in 3,700 movie theaters around the world.
Excluding movies, this is a new record for the most theater performances worldwide.
An American entertainment media reported that the BTS theater live ticket sales exceeded 40 billion won.
The ‘hybrid’ performance to get closer to the fans over the obstacle of Corona is changing the concert culture.
