Coach Son Woong-jeong, the father of the national soccer team captain Son Heung-min, expressed his objection to the idea of creating a ‘Son Heung-min street’ that is being discussed in his hometown of Chuncheon, Gangwon-do.
Sohn Woong-jung, director of Son Academy, who visited the Gangwon-do Office of Education on the morning of the 12th, said, “There has been talk like that for a few years, but I don’t think it is.”
Heung-min Son also added that he was too careful because he would lead a normal life when he retired, adding that he did not know who would call his name when he retired.
Coach Sohn visited the Gangwon-do Office of Education to find and discuss effective methods for students to exercise and study at the same time in relation to the operation of the soccer academy currently in operation in Chuncheon.
