After the “windshield wiper” gesture, Titz did not want to comment on the fan block on Tuesday when asked by BILD. On the other hand, the club suddenly deleted fan comments online – at least questionable crisis management.

Oliver Wiebe (31), Fanhilfe Magdeburg e. V. says to BILD: “The fans put their heart and soul into the club every week and give everything. The fact that the club is now even simply deleting critical comments on the platforms of 1. FC Magdeburg is not good communication with the blue and white fan scene. Fanhilfe demands a dialogue at eye level!”

The club had defended itself via Twitter: “We only reacted to insults and deleted them in individual cases.” But the fans see it differently.

The Titz behavior also causes discussions.

Norbert Müller (59) has been a passionate FCM fan since 1970: “I think that’s really amazing. So far I’ve always stood by Titz, but that’s quite a blow to the neck. It is clear that Mr. Titz has done a lot for us, but such behavior is not acceptable. He needs to see his mistake and apologize. Otherwise crisis meeting and if there is no other way: get out!”
