The term of military service in the army remains the same – 1 year
Moscow. March 29. INTERFAX.RU – Recruits during the spring conscription into the army will not be sent to the special military operation (SVO) zone in Ukraine, the duration of military service remains unchanged – 1 year, the Russian General Staff said.
“I want to reassure conscripts and their parents – I know this topic is often discussed today – the term of conscription service remains unchanged. As before, it will be one year,” said Colonel-General Yevgeny Burdinsky, head of the main organizational and mobilization department of the General Staff of the Russian Federation.
“Citizens called up for service will not be involved in a special military operation,” he said in an interview with the Russian Ministry of Defense newspaper “Red Star”.
According to Burdinsky, the spring conscription campaign will take place from April 1 to July 15.
