10-hour power outage: Nouakchott becomes a shambles

Several districts of Nouakchott recorded this Monday, April 3 a power cut lasting 10 hours, from 4 am to 2 pm.
A fact noted in the middle of a heat wave, following several days of voltage drop and for which no explanation has been provided by the Mauritanian Electricity Company (SOMELEC).
Thus, during this period of Ramadan, marked by relentless heat, water cuts, voltage drops and power cuts, added to a daily life of dizzying rises in the prices of several foodstuffs, life in Nouakchott resembles a real shambles.
