Among the most annoying options, American car owners called the voice command recognition system. The technology, designed to reduce the number of driver distractions, does not always work in practice: due to the peculiarities of speech or, for example, an accent, some motorists have to repeat commands several times, choosing clear wording. And it annoys them.
In second place on the list is the abundance of plastic in the cabin, which is sometimes not of the best quality. Only in the last five or seven years, automakers (mainly premium brands) have taken a course towards environmental friendliness and gradually began to abandon this material, but it is still found in budget models of the mass market. Americans who mentioned this factor in the survey cite the example of cars of the last century, in which fabric, vinyl, leather and metal were widely used.
