What better than an illustrated tutorial to discover hidden features of the iPhone? Apple has just released a new video on its YouTube channel dedicated to customer service, giving some tips for getting the most out of your mobile. In particular, we learn how detach a subject from a photo in the blink of an eye, new arrival with iOS 16 and available on iPhone 13 or iPhone 14 (among others).
With this, the publisher reminds us that the locked screen of its smartphones is now customizable at will. Users can choose colors and widgets of their choice to monitor important information at all times. However, these advantages are only available with the latest version of iOS, which is not not compatible with all iPhones.
The Camera app is full of surprises
With this, Apple’s video also reminds that you can take a photo quickly by touching the camera icon at the bottom right of the lock screen. This shortcut is very practical when you want to take a snapshot on the go and may be an opportunity to receive a few surprises from those around you.
By opening the Camera app, you can also access the tool Live Text. This detects words in front of your lens, for example in a book or on a store sign. When the content is in a foreign language, all it takes is a simple gesture to translate it into French or the dialect of your choice. We will appreciate in particular for reading the menus at the restaurant, during a trip abroad.
Notes: to save all your paper documents
Finally, Apple also mentions the case of its proprietary Notes app, installed natively on all its iPhones. With the platform, it is easy to digitize an A4 sheet in seconds, the software taking care of the formatting automatically.
Notes is a very practical app for centralizing key information such as shopping lists, ideas for movies to see or even tasks to accomplish. Everything is synchronized with all your Apple devices thanks to iCloud and can therefore also be consulted on Mac.
