100 young people from Chillán join the new McDonald’s restaurant – La Discusión 2024-05-08 23:07:43

In less than six months, the construction of the new McDonald’s in Chillán was completed, marking the long-awaited return of the fast food chain to the capital of the Ñuble Region.

“We return to the city with a new world-class restaurant, which incorporates more than 20 environmentally friendly measures. As a company we are very happy to be part of the Chillán community again. This time, offering more than 100 jobs to train and integrate young people looking for growth opportunities into the world of work for the first time,” highlighted Carlos González, general director of Arcos Dorados.

The advanced technological development of Arcos Dorados, the operating company of McDonald’s in Chile, reaches the new location with the installation of self-service kiosks, a modern Automac – car delivery service that, for the first time, arrives in the commune – and the McDonald’s App features.

Through the application, the public will be able to enjoy promotions, advance the order on the way to the restaurant, pick it up through Automac, request it directly to the table or by delivery.

With the launch of the restaurant, jobs were created for more than 100 young people from the communes of Chillán and San Carlos, who are experiencing their first job opportunity. An important contribution for the region, which reached an unemployment rate of 15.5% among people between 20 and 29 years old in the last quarter, according to the National Institute of Statistics.

“When we arrive in a town, we seek to insert ourselves into the community through the generation of jobs for its young people, with great opportunities for growth. We create the conditions so that they can reconcile their studies and work, in an equitable, diverse environment and with equal development opportunities,” explained Martín Palacio, People and Culture manager of Arcos Dorados Chile.
