Nearly 105,000 Hydro-Quebec customers are without power early Friday evening due to strong winds blowing over part of the province.
The Montreal region is particularly affected with 28,294 customers affected.
In the Laurentians, 22,260 customers are without electricity.
Lanaudière and Montérégie are also affected by the outages with 11,735 and 21,553 customers affected respectively.
Hydro-Québec says its teams are mobilized on the ground to try to restore the situation.
Strong winds caused damage to electrical installations. Recovery time may vary from region to region.
A 93 km/h gust was recorded at Pierre-Elliott-Trudeau airport, in Montreal, around 6:22 p.m.
