An 11-year-old child was seriously injured on Saturday near Toulouse during a swerve in a wedding convoy. He was ejected through the car’s sunroof.
The accident took place around 8 p.m. in Plaisance-du-Touch. The child was in a car with two young men aged 22 and 23. The driver lost control of his vehicle and swerved. “Probably because of excessive speed”, indicated the gendarmes of Haute-Garonne. No other vehicle was involved.
Ejected from the car, the boy was rushed to the Children’s Hospital in Toulouse. According to Actu.fr, his vital prognosis is no longer engaged but the extent of his injuries is not known. The two young men who were with him were only slightly injured.
The gendarmerie has opened an investigation and intends to try to understand how the child could have been propelled out of the vehicle.
