Police in Everett, Washington are asking for the public’s help in identifying and arresting a man who scammed an 11-year-old child with a counterfeit $100 bill.
Young Jeremy had decided to use his pocket money to erect a lemonade stand in order to make some money.
Over the summer, a man paid for his drink with a $100 bill, asking the 11-year-old to return his change.
So Jeremy returned $85 to the man, unaware that the $100 bill was fake.
In a Facebook post, the police admitted that this story had particularly affected them and that they would do everything in their power to catch the scammer.
