11th edition of The Golf Cup Unitel BFA starts next June – Jornal OPaís

The 11th edition of the National Corporate Golf Championship, “The Golf Cup Unitel BFA”, starts on the 1st of June this year, from 7:30 am, on the court of the Mangais Golf Resort, in Barra do Cuanza, in country’s capital.

The information was provided to this newspaper, this Monday, by the competition coordinator, Jorge Fonseca.

At the moment, he said, his squad has been working on closing contracts with sponsors so that the event can run smoothly.

Furthermore, Jorge Fonseca pointed out that his staff has been studying the venue for the competition’s final. The director made a point of highlighting that his department has been working hard to create the technical and logistical conditions for the success of the event.

“We are working on creating conditions for the success of the race. We are currently closing contracts with some sponsors and with Campo dos Mangais, where the event will take place”, assured the person in charge.

The event involves four qualifying stages, to determine a total of 12 teams, which compete for the national title, on an international field.

It should be noted that the event aims to promote the sport and help foster business relationships and networking.

It is worth remembering that the championship final, usually played abroad, has already attended several destinations, namely Sun City, South Africa (1st edition), Cape Town, South Africa (2nd edition), Windhoek, Namibia (3rd edition) , Windhoek, Namibia (4th edition), Óbidos, Portugal (5th edition), Johannesburg, South Africa (6th edition), Barra do Kwanza, Angola (7th edition) – which took place in the country due to travel restrictions imposed by Covid -19, Windhoek, Namibia (8th edition), Pecanwood, South Africa (9th and 10th edition). The duo Kim Cheol and Baek Chonggu, from the company Koran, won the last edition, which took place in South Africa.
