12 dead in explosion and attack in Togo and Burkina Faso

Seven people were killed, and two others were injured in an explosion in a town in northern Togo.
The Togolese army said, in a statement, that the explosion occurred in the Toun region, close to the border with Burkina Faso, where the increasing activity of armed gangs threatens the rest of the coastal countries in West Africa, noting that an investigation has been opened to find out the circumstances of the explosion and to identify the perpetrators.
Also, 5 civilians were killed by terrorists in a military detachment in Barsalogou, north of Burkina Faso.
The Burkinabe army confirmed in a statement that the attack resulted in the killing of 5 civilians, including a child, and the injury of 8 soldiers, indicating that air and ground operations were subsequently carried out to track down the attackers.
