A 12-year-old boy was shot last night in the entrance of a residential building in Brooklyn (NYC).
According to the NYPD, the boy was in the lobby of an apartment building on Bristol St. near Dumont Ave., in the Brownsville neighborhoodwhen shots were heard around 9:20 p.m.
The boy was shot in the left shoulder. Paramedics took the young victim to Maimonides Medical Center, in stable condition, reported Daily News.
a gun was recovered and a casing in the lobby of the building, but it is not clear what caused the shooting and whether the boy was the target or accidentally hit. The minor could not give details about the shooting or the attacker, reported NBC News.
