A man was sentenced to 20 years in prison following it was found that he raped a 12-year-old girl.
The incident occurred in the Monte Bello sector, in Amazonas state. And through the investigation, it was learned that the victim’s mother went to the headquarters of the Scientific, Penal and Criminal Investigations Corps (Cicpc) to report the criminal act.
Officials from the security agencies moved to the site and captured J. García, 30 years old. He was charged with sexual violence and threats.
The Cicpc, under an investigation process, established that the girl was threatened with a knife to the neck. The attacker then removed her underwear and penetrated her.
They also confirmed that the criminal was a relative, the husband of an aunt. Officers arrested the man at his home.
The 5th Prosecutor’s Office of that jurisdiction ratified the accusation once morest García for aggravated sexual violence.
The criminal will serve his sentence at the Cicpc headquarters, in Puerto Ayacucho.
