In the Hirtenberg prison (Baden district), 121 corona cases were registered on Friday. According to information from the office of Lower Austria’s Health Minister Ulrike Königsberger-Ludwig (SPÖ), the number of infected people increased by 41 compared to the previous day. 287 Covid patients were treated in hospitals in the state, with an increase in the normal wards. 5,333 new infections and four deaths were reported within 24 hours.
There were 257 people in the clinics related to the virus, 17 more than the day before in normal and 30 (minus three) in intensive care units. According to the State Health Agency (LGA), 105 free intensive care beds were available for Covid sufferers.
