130 schools closed from January 10 to 15

A total of 187 classes were closed during this period, in addition to 24 schools belonging to foreign missions, said the ministry in its weekly bulletin monitoring the epidemiological situation in schools, published on its official Facebook page.

The Casablanca-Settat region came first with a total of 1,649 confirmed cases, followed by Rabat-Salé-Kenitra with 1,000 cases. The two regions were also in the lead in terms of the number of schools closed, respectively 59 and 35.

The ministry-approved protocol requires class closure and the adoption of distance learning for a period of seven days following three or more cases are registered at the same school in a week.

In the event that ten or more cases are registered in different classes at the school level, the decision to close the school and adopt distance learning for a period of seven days is taken in coordination with the competent authorities. , according to the protocol, which requires compliance with all the precautionary measures and measures stipulated in the health protocol.
