By winning quietly against the Wolves, the Celtics offer themselves first place in the Eastern Conference! An accession to the throne which perfectly symbolizes the rise of Boston in recent weeks.

Remember last January 22, Boston still had a record in the negative and they barely held the door to the play-in (10th) in this Eastern Conference so raised. A little over two months later, the Celtics are therefore leaders and, above all, they no longer make anyone laugh. By winning 24 of its last 28 games, the cloverleaf franchise has changed its status. No more big disappointment, no more itchy hair, Boston now looks like a favorite to go to the NBA finals, or even more if you like. Difficult to dispute this point given the green hurricane which is currently beating down on the most beautiful League in the world. The Massachusetts team has certainties and today seems sure of its strength, regardless of the opponent who comes to the door. The ingredients, we all know them: the strike force of the Jay Brothers, this defense which takes pleasure in stifling each of its counterparts, this collective finally which step-up every evening so as not to leave all the work to its two leaders. Take it all together and you have one hell of a freaking bulldozer.

Tonight’s game is yet another example of what awaits, perhaps, rivals Boston in the next fortnight. Despite a tight start, the fault in particular of a well-inspired Karl-Anthony Towns, the Celtics will rev up and lock the little cubs in a box. When you are forbidden to score a basket, it is always more complicated to go the distance, especially since on the other side Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown take turns perfectly. Minnesota will of course try to revolt in the second half but the few attacks from Anthony Edwards or Jaylen Nowell will not even tear a drop of sweat from an audience who is too serene about the strength of his flock. The leprechauns are all in control and they can quietly celebrate another capital victory, one more we want to say. While several strongholds in the East are suffering at the end of the season (Miami, Chicago, Cleveland), we feel an unstoppable Boston and above all a team that wants to show that it is the new terror of the League. A status that could still grow if the troops of Ime Udoka show such ease in the face of the big names who arrive. Miami, Chicago, Milwaukee and Memphis are still on the schedule. What to send new messages to the competition? In Beantown, we strongly believe in it.

The Celtics have again pulled out all the stops to get rid of Wolves. Fire attack, iron defense and two great Jay Brothers as icing on the cake, the Eastern Conference has a very nice leader on this Monday morning.
