The Minister of Labor and Social Security made special reference to Law 4706/2020, which mandates the adequate representation of women on the boards of directors of listed companies and its successful implementation. “Already, from 2021, there is a steady annual increase in the total female representation on the boards of directors of companies listed on the Athens Stock Exchange from 25 to 28%”, he underlined.

Mrs. Michailidou, addressing her counterparts, noted that, despite the reforms that have been made in the EU, women still face obstacles for equal participation in the labor market, equal pay and pension security.
