Pilarmas Investindo Sekuritas Indonesia assesses that the 14 new National Strategic Projects (PSN) can attract the attention of market players considering that funding is carried out by private parties supported by the government.
“Some of the private parties included in the 14 new PSNs are PIK 2 (PANI), BSD City (BSDE), and Astra group (ASII). This is a positive sentiment for the three issuers,” said Associate Director of Research and Investment Pilarmas Investindo Sekuritas Indonesia Maximilianus Nico Demus, Monday (25/3).
Previously, President Joko Widodo and a number of his ministers agreed to establish infrastructure development, namely 14 new PSNs which would later create jobs.
Apart from that, funding for the 14 PSNs comes purely from the private sector. It doesn’t use the APBN at all. The majority of new PSNs are projects in industrial areas with a total investment of IDR 1,400 trillion.
The new PSN consists of eight industrial areas, two toll roads, two tourism areas, one offshore oil and gas project, and one education, research and technology area. (Z-11)
