15-inch MacBook Air is scheduled for release in April 2023

Mac fans can look forward to a larger display option for the MacBook Air. Apple’s lightweight notebook family might soon have a new member. According to a report by DSCC analyst Ross Young, the 15.5-inch MacBook Air is expected to launch in Spring 2023. Panel production is said to have started as early as this month, pointing to an early April release.

Few details are known regarding the 15-inch MacBook Air so far, but it is expected to be basically a larger version of the 13-inch MacBook Air. This means Apple will soon be offering two different screen sizes for the MacBook Air, 13.6-inch and 15.5-inch.

In the past, the company offered the MacBook Air in two different sizes, but it eventually simplified the lineup and removed the smaller, 11.6-inch variant.

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo also covered the rumored 15-inch MacBook Air. However, he claims that it will not be called “MacBook Air” but rather “MacBook”. Also, the 15-inch MacBook will be available in M2 and M2 Pro configurations, while the 13-inch MacBook Air will only be offered with an M2 chip.

Bloomberg has reported that Apple is working on a 12-inch MacBook alongside the 15-inch MacBook Air. However, this device is not scheduled to be released until late 2023 or early 2024 at the earliest.

Overall, the alleged 15-inch MacBook Air is an interesting rumor. We’re pretty sure that a big and very flat Air will get a lot of fans.
