St. Pölten (OTS) –

The 6th Lower Austria Volunteer Fair in the Landhaus St. Pölten this Sunday was a great success. State Governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner is particularly enthusiastic: “An incredible 15,000 people celebrated a big celebration for our volunteers in our St. Pölten government district today. For that I can simply say ‘thank you’ from the bottom of my heart,” says Mikl-Leitner, who emphasizes: “To express appreciation, respect and thanks to the volunteers and volunteers for their tireless, committed work and to make them the focus for a whole day – that was our goal. All I can say is: our mission was successful.”

A special highlight was the big thank you concert for the helpers of the flood disaster in front of the sound tower. Thousands celebrated with “Wir4” and “Die Seer”, who played in St. Pölten as part of their farewell tour, also thrilled the audience. “The atmosphere was simply brilliant, it was a mega concert,” said the state governor, who thanked not only the artists, but above all the over 50 volunteer organizations that made the fair in St. Pölten a success have made. “Today proves once again: Lower Austria is the home of volunteer work! Volunteering is our strength and our pride and I am sure that we were able to motivate many visitors today to also get involved on a voluntary basis.”
