Today, Monday, the price of gold in Egypt continued its leaps, and the gram increased by 6 pounds, compared to its level in the middle of transactions, with the rise of the metal globally and the price of the dollar against the pound, according to Naguib Naguib, former Secretary General of the Gold Division at the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, to Masrawy.
The price of a gram of gold jumped by 10 pounds until mid-trading compared to its level yesterday, before it continued to rise during evening trading, bringing the value of the increase to 16 pounds per gram throughout the day.
Najib expected a further rise in the gram price in the coming period.
Gold prices today
14 karat gold prices rose to 678 pounds per gram.
And the price of 18 karat gold increased to 872 pounds per gram.
And the price of 21 karat gold rose to 1017 pounds per gram.
The price of 24 karat gold rose to 1162 pounds per gram.

The price of the gold pound increased to 8136 pounds, and the price may vary from one dealer to another, and this price is equal to the value of gold in the pound, and its price is linked to the prices of a gram of 21 karat.
The price of gold today globally
The global price of gold rose during Monday’s trading session, the first session of the week, to about $162 an ounce, an increase of 0.75%, according to Bloomberg Agency data.
