O check signed by Steve Jobs in 1976, which was being auctioned, fetched approx. 1000 times the value described in it. According to the auction house RR Auctionthe object was sold by US$106,9 mil.

In the image of the check, it is possible to see the first official address of the company, in Palo Alto. Furthermore, it can be seen that it had been issued to the Crampton, Remke & Millera management consulting firm operating in California in the mid-1970s.

This company was fundamental to several technology companies in the North American state, including Atari and Xerox. Jobs, therefore, decided to rely on the expertise that the company had — and that certainly helped launch the former Apple Computer Company so that it became what it is today.

The check dates back to when Jobs and Steve Wozniak were developing the Apple I — the company’s first product — and is still in “perfect condition,” according to RR Auction. Last year, another check signed by both founders of Maçã, also in 1976, was auctioned for US$131,100.

There’s money (and willingness) to invest in an item like this! ????
