18 Martinican players summoned to prepare for a trip to Guyana from February 22

Marc Collat, the coach of Martinique, has chosen a group made up of 17 players playing in the regional 1 championship and a last licensee in Le Havre to play a double confrontation against the selection of Guyana, on February 23 and 25 next.

No FIFA date at the end of February, the selection of Martinique will therefore play without the contribution of professionals. In the list of 18 players, only Shavy Resouf (AC Le Havre) does not play in the local championship. This young striker is not yet retained in the first team of Le Havre, current leader of the league 2 but plays matches in reserve team. Overall, Marc Collat ​​gives pride of place to young people while maintaining a framework of experienced executives, like Daniel Hérelle.

Among the new players called up, two talented attackers at the R1 level. Gabriel Bilon and Stévyne Baker are the two top scorers in the first phase of the championship. Ghislain Arbaut, Enrick Reuperné and Florian Goma have a good card to play to settle permanently in the group.

Out of 18 players, 5 are from the Golden Lion, the defending champion team from Martinique. Note that the Us Diamantinoise, qualified to compete in the upper hen of the second phase of the current championship, provides 3 players for the selection.

The group of players thus formed will first be on a blocked internship on February 20 and 21. The departure for Guyana is set for February 22 while the two meetings will take place in Cayenne on February 23 and 25.

This Guyanese campaign is part of the preparation of our selection for the next meeting of the Concacaf Nation’s League scheduled for March 25, 2023 against Costa Rica.
