At 4 o’clock in the morning in Biel, the way is in principle free on the road leading to Brügg, but a 19-year-old driver took himself for Max Verstappen: “He was moving at 138 km / h instead of 50 km / h allowed”, indicates the Bernese cantonal police today.

The driver offense dates back to Saturday, May 27. Under deduction of the legal tolerance, the regional public prosecutor of the Bernese Jura-Seeland retains an excess of 132 km / h, which remains in the eyes of justice a “strong excess of speed”.

After a zigzag to cross the railway line, the road to Brügg continues in a row.

The speed control was carried out shortly before 4 a.m. by the Biel City Police Inspectorate. The driver was driving in the direction of Brügg. Its identification required clarification. Heard by the Bernese cantonal police, the author confessed to his speeding.

“His driving license was taken away from him in order to be handed over to the administrative authority”, specifies the cantonal police. The driver will have to answer for the crime of driving in court.
