BEIJING, Jan. 23, 2022 (Xinhua) China’s crude oil production reached regarding 199 million tons last year 2021, an increase of 2.4 percent compared to the previous year 2020, according to data released by the National Statistics Authority.
The authority indicated that this production represents an increase of 4 percent compared to its counterpart in 2019.
In December alone, the country produced 16.47 million tons of crude oil, up 1.7 percent year on year.
Last year, China’s crude oil imports amounted to 513 million tons, down 5.4 percent compared with the previous year 2020, according to the data.
