2-0 against GAIS made IFK Gothenburg the winner again

The players in IFK Gothenburg finally got to enjoy a victory again, after 2-0 (1-0) at home against GAIS. The victory was the first after ten games in a row without a win in the Allsvenskan.

The match remained even in terms of goals until IFK Gothenburg took the lead in the 36th minute, through Kolbeinn Thordarson. With just under half an hour left to play, Laurs Skjellerup got a hit played by Anders Trondsen and increased the lead for IFK Göteborg. That settled the final score at 2-0.

In the table, this means that IFK Göteborg is now in eleventh place. GAIS is in sixth place.

The next opponent for IFK Gothenburg is Norrköping. The teams meet on Sunday 6 October 4.30 pm at Platinumcars Arena. GAIS will take on the Brommapojkarna away on Saturday 5 October 17.30.
