2.53 billion transactions in Dubai on Friday

Dubai : A total of 2.53 billion dirhams worth of transactions took place in Dubai on Friday, the first Friday as part of a holiday restructuring in the UAE.

This was achieved through 227 transactions in the real estate sector. In the first week of the new year, Dubai had a turnover of 7.24 billion dirhams through 1766 transactions. This is according to reports released by the Dubai Land Department (DLD). A total of 451.16 million dirhams worth of land was sold and 1.93 million dirhams worth of villas and apartments were traded.

Most of the transactions took place in Marsa Dubai, Al Thania Fifth, Palm Jumeirah and Jebel Ali. Palm Jumeirah had a single transaction of Rs 50 crore, while Marsa Dubai had a single transaction of Rs 49.5 crore and Rs 40.2 crore. On Friday, there were significant movements in other commercial industries as well.
