???? We are in the Apuan Alps in the province of Massa – Carrara, in Tuscany. Literally a stone’s throw from the sea rise wonderful mountains!
And it is here that we spent the weekend with friends with a two-day fun filled with nature that you should also try if you love trekking ????????
???? Instructions and trail number:
Departure from Vinca in the direction of Foce Giovo with path 175 (ask when you are there The entrance to the path).
Once in Foce di Giovo, take path 186 to the Orto di Donna refuge where you will stay overnight.
The next day from the refuge, take the 186 up to the Grondilice window.
(From here you can reach the summit in 15 minutes via a fairly difficult path EE, we didn’t go there having people not used to the mountain with us).
From the window of the Grondilice, descend (attention impervious descent to be tackled only in the presence of experienced people or if you have experience in the mountains) to return to the starting point following the 186 up to Foce Rasori (from here the path becomes simple) and then up to Capanna Garnerone. From here, take the 153 up to Vinca.
???? Additional info:
- if you are trained you can do the whole route in one day starting early in the morning
- it is better to book at the refuge (they have dinner, breakfast and lunch service)
- complete trail recommended for those who already have experience in the mountains or in the presence of experienced people: the most technically difficult stretch is that of the descent on the second day. Be careful!
