2 students killed in shooting at US school

The AP reported that the problem happened with an educational program called Starts Right Here affiliated with the Des Moines school district, which specializes in helping disadvantaged students from grades 9 to 12.

Police said emergency teams were called to the school located in a business district near downtown Des Moines at regarding 1pm on January 23. When the authorities arrived at the scene, they found two students seriously injured and immediately performed CPR.

However, the two students mentioned above died at the hospital. A school employee was also seriously injured and underwent surgery on the same followingnoon.

About 20 minutes following the incident shootingsthe police stopped a car matching the description of the witnesses, more than 2km away from the scene and arrested 3 suspects.

According to a police representative, one suspect fled the vehicle, but the police security staff used a sniffer dog to round up this person.

The authorities have not announced yet the cause of the shooting.
