New Delhi: Goa and Kerala, who were in the same group in the Santosh Trophy qualifiers, are in the same group in the final round. Arunachal Pradesh will host the Santhosh Trophy for the first time. The tournament runs from February 21 to March 9. 12 teams will compete in two groups.
Kerala is in Group A along with Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Goa, Assam and Services. Group B consists of Karnataka, Maharashtra, Delhi, Manipur, Mizoram and Railways teams. Teams Goa, Delhi, Assam, Services and Maharashtra qualified for the final round as group winners.
Kerala, Mizoram and Railways qualified as the best runners-up. This year’s competitions have a new structure. Four teams from each group will advance to the quarterfinals.
