The Bucks have a status to assume, and it will have to start tonight. Giannis is on a mission, and beyond being among the 3 finalists for the MVP trophy, he is above all the leader in the East and will want to scratch a second Larry O’Brien trophy with his squad which finally delighted the lead Boston on an incredible 16-game winning streak between January and March. Yes you read that right, Milwaukee lost exactly 0 game in February and will want to ride this wave to get to the title like in 2021.
However, this will require a well-oiled collective and a full workforce. Khris Middleton, who has long been hampered by injuries, should be fine for the opener, as are Pat Connaughton and Grayson Allen who have been training normally recently. Soldiers like Jae Crowder or Bobby Portis are also expected, and no doubt they will be keen to tip the scales for the Daims in this series.
But as we always say, beware of sleeping water, because if the Heat has marked by its irregularity, it remains like every season an itchy team that no one really wants to face. In the wake of a still predatory Jimmy Butler, Miami will want to create a surprise. Bam Adebayo is still warming up but could be quite an asset, Tyler Herro must confirm his change of status and the collective must get up to speed and Erik Spoelstra still has more than one trick up his sleeve.
Adjustments will probably be needed for this first game, given that the Floridians are potentially going to be slightly depopulated in the lead. Indeed, Gabe Vincent and Kyle Lowry are both uncertain for this opening match of the series. With right hip and left knee injuries respectively, the two played against Chicago in the play-in but were pretty infamous. In the event of a forfeit, it is probably Tyler Herro who will take over in the lead.
