Doha: The best player of the Asian continent for the 2022 season will be announced in Doha, which is witnessing the World Cup football. The AFC award for the best Asian player is returning following a gap of four years. The award was suspended from 2020 during the Covid period.

Apart from Player of the Year and AFC Women’s Player of the Year, AFC Asian International Player, Best Coach, Young Player, Best Association and Best Referee will also be announced.
In the final list of the best players in the men’s category, Australia’s Melbourne City player Matthew Leckie, Qatar’s Al Duhail FC player Al Mueez Ali, and Saudi Al Hilal player Salim Al Dausari were included.
