Thanks to the joint efforts of the ministry and all stakeholders, the “national register of real estate agents” was established, bringing together nearly 1,312 real estate agents, affirmed the supervisory minister during the plenary session devoted to oral questions to the House of Representatives, held Monday October 30.
Represented by the Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication, Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid in Parliament, the minister also welcomed the 18 support meetings organized in different regions of the Kingdom, benefiting 1,200 agents and aiming to strengthen communication and support for this category.
On a legal level, bill No. 36.17 relating to the organization of the exercise of the profession of real estate agent was developed after consultation with all stakeholders and the government departments concerned, revealed the official. This project was also subject to the approval procedure, recalled Bensaid.
The supervisory ministry stressed that the main objective of this bill is to qualify and regulate the profession, while creating a professional card for real estate agents. This law aims to define the relationship between real estate agents and their clients, to encourage investment in the real estate sector by highlighting the essential role of real estate agents. This legislative text should also define the contours of real estate mediation and specify the conditions of the profession, whether for natural or legal persons, national or foreign.
